LightingEurope's visual emergency lighting guide published
The LightingEurope Association publishes a visual guide to provide a comprehensive overview of the correct installation and maintenance of emergency lighting.
LightingEurope is a Brussels-based association representing 32 national lighting companies and associations. LightingEurope has recently developed a visual guide on emergency lighting, to provide professionals with a comprehensive overview on proper installation and maintenance, referring to the latest industry standards and legislation.
The objective of this guide is to inform on the specificities of emergency lighting applications and to provide concrete support to ensure that the installation, operation and maintenance of luminaires comply with the standards and legislative requirements.
Why a visual guide on emergency lighting?
The function, duties and technical specifications of emergency luminaires differentiate them from general lighting applications.
- definitions of key terms (main functions, types of emergency lighting)
- practical examples on relevant issues, such as emergency lighting specifications in various application areas
- a concise overview of the latest applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements for emergency lighting.
In addition, the guide emphasises the importance of continuous risk assessment and maintenance of emergency lighting and provides recommendations for appropriate testing and inspection for various emergency lighting applications.
