beghelli.it: website Cookie Policy
BEGHELLI S.p.A., having its registered office in Valsamoggia (BO), loc. Monteveglio, via Mozzeghine n. 13/15 (hereinafter, “Controller” or “Company”), pursuant to Article 13 of the General Data Protection Regulation no. 2016/679 (hereinafter, “GDPR”), hereby provides you with information on the processing of your personal data, carried out using cookies, web beacons, web bugs and similar technologies on the pages of the website https://www.beghelli.it (hereinafter, the “Website”).
The Data Controller has appointed its own Data Protection Officer (DPO), who can be reached at the following e-mail address: dpo@beghelli.it.
WHAT ARE COOKIES
Cookies are small text files that websites visited by the user send and store on the user’s computer or mobile device and are then sent back to the same websites the next time the user visits. It is thanks to cookies that a website remembers the user’s actions and preferences (e.g., login details, language, font size, etc.), so that these do not have to be indicated again when the user returns to that same website or navigates from one page to another.
Cookies are therefore used to carry out computer authentication, monitor sessions and store information about the activities of users accessing a website. They may also contain a unique identification code that enables the tracking of the user’s navigation within the website for statistical or advertising purposes.
While browsing a website, the user may receive on his/her computer so-called “first party” cookies – if installed directly by the website administrator – but also cookies from websites or web servers other than the one he/she is visiting (“third party” cookies), installed on the terminal by a party other than the website administrator.
There are various types of cookies, depending on their characteristics and functions, which may remain on the user’s computer for different periods of time. In this sense, a distinction is made between so-called session cookies, which are automatically deleted when the browser is closed, and so-called persistent cookies, which remain on the user’s device until a preestablished expiry date.
TYPES OF COOKIES USED BY THE WEBSITE
The Website uses the following types of cookies:
a. Session/navigation cookies: the use of so-called session cookies (which are not permanently stored on the user’s computer and disappear when the browser is closed) is strictly limited to the transmission of session identifiers (consisting of random numbers generated by the server) necessary to enable the safe and efficient exploration of the site and its applications. The so-called session cookies used in the site avoid the use of other computer techniques potentially prejudicial to the confidentiality of user navigation and do not allow the acquisition of personal identification data of the user. These cookies do not require the user’s consent and, in any case, cannot be unselected, as they are strictly necessary to enable the Website to function.
b. Persistent cookies: persistent cookies remain on the device even after leaving the website, until the user deletes them or, in any case, until their expiry date is reached. The Website creates this type of cookie and stores it on the device so that it can be read when the user visits the Website again. This makes it possible, for example, to find the preferences that have been set on subsequent visits to the Website.
These cookies do not require the user’s consent and, in any case, cannot be unselected, as they are strictly necessary for the Site to function.
2. Analytics Cookies: cookies installed to collect aggregate information of a mainly statistical nature (how long the user stays on a web page, number of visitors to the website, etc.).
a. First party analytical cookies: comparable to technical cookies as they are installed directly from the website being visited to improve its usability. These cookies do not require your consent.
b. Third-Party Analytical Cookies: cookies created and installed by third parties in order to analyse users’ browsing, to compile statistics on the visits, to improve the offer of contents and to show similar products.
The analytical cookie used by the Website is Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google LLC (“Google”). The Website uses the Google Analytics cookie in an anonymised form, through the adoption of tools that reduce its identifying power. The cookie in question, therefore, is limited to collecting information in aggregate form in order to analyse and monitor – for statistical purposes – the navigation carried out by users on the Site.
3. Profiling Cookies: cookies used to track the user’s navigation on the web and create profiles based on his tastes, habits, choices, etc. With these cookies, advertising messages can be transmitted to the user’s terminal in line with the preferences already expressed by the user when browsing online.
a. First party profiling cookies: used and installed by the Website to collect information on the user’s browsing habits with the aim of proposing advertising messages that are as relevant as possible to his interests. This means that they are also used to limit the number of times the user displays a specific advertisement: for the Website it means communicating more effectively, for the user it means receiving advertising that is less invasive and closer to their preferences. While browsing the Website, promotional cookies allow confirmation that the user is consulting advertising messages, showing him promotional content that may be of interest to him based on what he has previously visited. These cookies also allow, while the user browses other websites, to show content that he has recently consulted on the Website for promotional purposes. The Website uses promotional cookies exclusively in anonymous mode: the advertising is targeted but it is not identifiable who the user is. The promotional cookies used are permanent, although they remain in the user’s device for a limited time. They require your consent.
b. Third party profiling cookies: used and installed by third parties to track the user’s navigation on the web and create profiles on his tastes, habits, choices. These cookies are managed by third party companies. On the Website you can also find social buttons/widgets, which are those particular “buttons” depicting the icons of social networks (e.g., Facebook). These “buttons” allow users who are browsing the Website to reach and interact with social networks with a “click”. By clicking on the social buttons/widgets, the social network acquires data relating to the user’s visit to the Beghelli Website and, at the same time, releases its own profiling cookies.
Please note that third parties – administrators of the respective cookies installed on the Website – act as independent data controllers of the data collected through their respective cookies. The user, therefore, should refer to their personal data processing policies, disclosures and consent forms, available at the following links:
When accessing the Website for the first time, the user is presented with a banner containing an initial brief information notice on cookies. The user is therefore immediately given the opportunity to express his or her preferences and wishes with regard to cookies. In particular:
- by clicking on the “Accept all” button, the user consents to the use of all cookies and other technologies present on the Website;
- by clicking on the “Only Technical Cookies” button or, alternatively, by clicking on the “X” at the top right of the Banner, the user does not consent to the installation of profiling and analytical cookies, for which the consent is required, and only technical or anonymised analytical cookies will therefore be installed, for the installation of which the user’s consent is not required;
- by clicking on the “Customize” button, the user has the option of giving consent specifically for each category of profiling or analytical cookie for which consent is required. He or she may then click on the “Accept” button and then close the banner by selecting “Save and close”.
By opening the “Cookie Policy” link, which leads back to this extended information notice (directly from the banner or, subsequently, through a special link in the footer of the Site), the user will always be able to change his or her preferences, granting or withdrawing his or her consent to the installation of cookies.
HOW TO CHANGE COOKIE SETTINGS
Most Internet browsers are initially set to accept cookies automatically. This means that the user has the possibility, at any time, to set his browser to accept all cookies, only some of them, or to reject them all, disabling their use by the sites. In addition, the user can normally set his browser preferences so that he is notified whenever a cookie is stored on his computer. At the end of each browsing session, the user can also delete the cookies collected from the hard disk of his device. In order to delete the cookies installed in the cookie folder of the browser you are using, please remember that each browser has different procedures for managing the settings.
For more information on how to set preferences on the use of cookies through your browser, you can consult the corresponding instructions:
With specific reference to Google Analytics cookies, if the user wishes to deactivate them, he/she can do so by installing the appropriate Google add-on, available at the following link: Google Analytics.
If the user wishes to learn more about cookies in general, he or she may visit http://www.allaboutcookies.org.
